Ephesians 3: 14-21

"For this reason, I kneel before the Father, from whom His whole family in heaven and on earth derives its name. I pray that out of His glorious riches He may stregthen you with power through His Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the saints, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge - that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.

Now to Him Who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to His work within us, to Him be glory in the Church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations forever and ever. Amen."

My wife is an amazing memorizer. She can look at something, and it seems like she has it memorized in about 2 minutes. It amazes me.

I have always wanted to be able to memorize lines upon lines of Scripture. I've never really been able to do it though. Last night, I decided I would try to memorize Paul's prayer for the Ephesians in Ephesians 3. We went out to the hammock in the back yard and laid down, I started to try to memorize the prayer (while my wife continued memorizing the entire book of Ephesians!) For almost the next 2 hours, I worked at it. She began to help me, and had it memorized in no time at all. By the end of the night, in time to start to go to bed, I was able to get through it. Choppy, at best, but I was getting through it.

Anyway, look at the power of that prayer. Talk about an encouragement to the church.
