Da Bears

The two most recent major sport champions (football's Superbowl champion and baseball's World Series champion) are only two hours away from my hometown. Let's hear it for the Midwest and I-70!

Last night's game wasn't so disappointing for me. If I were to pick two teams to be in the Superbowl at the beginning of the NFL season, I would always prefer the Colts and Bears.

Last night, I cheered on the Bears, but only because it was the Bears. I figure Payton Manning and the Colts are going to have plenty of opportunities in the next few years to win the Superbowl. The Bears? Not so much.

But I've been way closer to the Colts than the Bears. Chicago isn't really even in Illinois.

But then again, I was loving the possibility that the two major teams of Chicago besides the Cubs (the White Sox and the Bears) could have national championships in the last two years, but the Cubs still are without even a championship appearance.

Gosh, I would love if they would wait until it's been 100 years.

Later guys,
Matt

P.S. 10 days until Pitchers and Catchers report! Baseball season is up next!

Yeah, Julie. And so was '06, and '05, and '04. And, oh yeah, '03. Do you remember '03? I do. I definitely do.

And then there was 1956, and 1955. 1954...1912, and 1911, and 1910. 1909.

It's really not fair. It seems like it is always their year. Don't you think they've had enough years that were theirs?

tj wore his cardinals gear to the super bowl party and cheered for the Cardinals the whole game. pretty hilarious.

I want a prediction for the MLB. I can wait for spring training to end, but no later.
