By, the way, one of those pictures, you'll notice, doesn't include a picture of a tree at all. Instead, it is an image of what looks like two large socks hanging on a wall. Those are called "stockings" and they are a staple-point of the Christmas celebration in many homes.
Have a great Christmas!
Later guys,
Matt

is that really a fireplace in Florida? Do they really have those in houses in florida?!?
looks nice. I bet is a pure joy getting ready for your first Christmas as a married couple.
Fantastic tree...even if it has a Cardinal hat on top!
so heres a theological question for you...is it sacrireligious to put a cardinals hat on top of Jesus' birthday tree?
Love the top!! We got ours up this weekend too :) Whoo hoo!
Dave, it gets cold here 10 days a year. Do you expect people to freeze for 10 days without a fire place, just because of the stigma attached to the Sunshine State, even if it really is the Sunshine State? ...You're right, I do too. That's why ours is boarded up and the chimney is closed off. So much for staying warm this winter.
Anonymous, I don't think I know you, but yes, it is pure joy. We are excited to think about it everytime we walk in our house and see the tree!
Julie, come over to a real team, we would love to have you.
Herschel, is putting a Cardinal hat any worse (or of less consequence) than putting a star on top of the Christ's Birth Celebration Tree? After all, the Cardinals were the stars of Major League Baseball. One last thing, if you look closely, you'll notice the insignia of our favorite piece of technology fruit.
Brad, I'd ask you to put a picture of your tree up on your Picture of the Day Blog, but I killed it.
my comment was more of a commentary of our obsession to use pagan symbols such as evergreens and tree and lights to celebrate the birth of Jesus.
however, I love Christmas decorations.
doh.
Point taken, and I'm in agreement. However, I feel I must stress, yet again, my inclusion of the insignia of our favorite piece of technology fruit. Don't miss it, Hersch.
Lindsey, Lowes sounds wonderful. We got ours at Target. Neither is Wal-mart!! Yay! Merry Christmas!

Lovely tree. is that the prelit tree that was on sale on black friday??
and is that the Felicity DVD Box set i see on the shelf back there?!?!
man i hope those copies of felicity are heather's...for all of our sakes... good eyes nathan
I'm not so sure that they are.....
I knew Matt's shortcoming would soon be discovered....
Haha, they are Heather's, but I admit I've watched all of them with her. It's crazy what love will make someone do. I'm sorry guys. I'm sorry. At least the Seinfeld DVDs hidden behind the tree are mine.
Hey Brendal, we got it at Target on Saturday. But it was only 16 dollars. And it's not prelit, we had to string the lights. The lights were only 2 dollars per string. That's why it's dark at the bottom of the tree! I'd love to see how much it cost on Black Friday, and then I'd kick myself for not getting it then!
I think it was something like $22 for the prelit tree. I dont remember how tall it was or what "kind" of tree it was, so you may have still come out saving money.
